Writer Profile
Author: Lin L. Barrett (who signs her slash "Lin Deale Thomas")
Thumbnail sketch: Born quite a while ago in Texas, spent many intervening years in Oregon, not dead yet. Never took a decent picture for her driver’s licence until she was in her fifties. Parented two (grown) sons. Wholly-owned subsidiary of two cats and a completely out-of-control sense of humor. Would really like to like people but doesn’t; contents self with being kind to and impatient of them instead (and then going home and writing about the buggers). Is overly fond of ellipses. Has a college degree in accounting (there isn’t any for taste, though, so it’s never done her any good).
. . . does it looks like a thumbnail yet?
Favorite authors: P.G. Wodehouse, Roger Zelazny, James Thurber, Terry Pratchett, Robert A. Heinlein, Dick Francis, Dorothy Sayers, Josephine Tey, Georgette Heyer, and Charlotte Armstrong. She’s forgotten a lot of others, careless person that she is. Although she is an unregenerate never-traveled Yank, she read a lot of British authors in her formative years. Her family is Welsh, which is probably why this happened. She isn’t sorry it did.
