Writer Profile

I never thought of myself as a writer, my husband writes and it looks really boring from the outside. I was always more visual, designing and making greeting cards for a living as well as making boxes, jewelry, ornaments and other bits of whimsical nonsense.

Then I got a part-time job doing Stage door, which is sort of like being a receptionist except very quiet and lo, I had the time to discover fan fiction.

Started with due South, had an idea for a story that no one would write for me, so I had to do it. And made the second discovery, I love writing. It's like every other art thing, you build it. I wrote two stories in due South and then made my third discovery, The Sentinel. Abandoned the Mountie and RayK, though I still find them adorable. Now my devotion lies with Jim and Blair.

I loved it so much, I quit making cards. Now I work for a writing consultant, making workbooks and finding myself actually interested in just what is right when it comes to grammar. And have time to write.

I have two teenage daughters, two shelties, two cats and alas, only one husband. Minneapolis, the most beautiful of cities to live in, is where I hang my hat, when I wear a hat, which will be soon, winter is but a month away.
